The Aero Law Group team recently enjoyed a presentation by Spokane Turbine Center, a KODIAK training facility devoted to providing high quality, cost effective turbine training in technically advanced aircraft for the humanitarian/mission aviation community. Spokane Turbine Center highlighted how the turbine-powered Quest KODIAK meets the unique needs for humanitarian/missionary aviation to provide indigenous people access to medical care, food, water, education and other basic human necessities. Along with the ability to fly into remote backcountry areas, this aircraft is the first turboprop to be equipped with the Garmin G1000.
After our discussion, Aero Law Group was able to have a look at KODIAK S/N 0001, the very first Quest KODIAK, and the airplane used in Spokane Turbine Center’s training program. Not only does Spokane Turbine Center provide training for humanitarian/missionary aviation pilots, but its affiliate, Parkwater Aviation, is a factory-authorized Quest KODIAK familiarization center for the general aviation community.
