Brent comes to Aero Law Group with well over ten years of experience in private practice, including experience with transactional aviation law. He represents clients in the purchase, sale, lease, financing, and exchange of new and previously owned aircraft. With a primary focus on end-user owners and operators, Brent advises his clients on FAA-regulatory, federal income tax, federal excise tax, state sales and use tax, personal use, insurance, and risk-management issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Brent was General Counsel for a high-tech startup where he worked tirelessly to mitigate risk, contain costs, and help advance business goals. He brings the same passion and commitment to Aero Law Group. Prior to moving in-house, Brent gained substantial experience representing global Fortune 500 companies all the way down to the small business entrepreneur with matters as diverse as general business and corporate law, contracts, intellectual property, insurance, and even employment law.
Brent received a B.B.A. in economics from the University of Iowa, Tippie College of Business, and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is admitted to practice in Washington, Minnesota, and Missouri.
When Brent is not in the office, he is dreaming about being up in the air. With his limited free time, he also enjoys traveling, camping, fishing, tennis – and finding the best food in whatever city he happens to be in.
